This month, three of our Canadian marine colleagues visited the IMU team in New York City. In addition to a bit of work training, we welcomed them to the city with a tour of the South Street Seaport. Our team, including one of our producer partners, was hosted by South Street Seaport Museum Director Jesse Lebovics and Executive Director Jonathan Boulware.
The team had the opportunity to board the Flagship of the Museum Fleet, a 1985 cargo ship named "Wavertree" and the Lightship 1907 LV-87, also known as "Ambrose", a “floating lighthouse” that was originally used to guide ships safely from the Atlantic Ocean into the broad mouth of lower New York Bay (Ambrose Channel).
