NTSB Releases Lessons Learned from Marine Accident Investigations

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) recently released it's annual Safer Seas Digest, which outlines the lessons  learned from the investigation of major maritime accidents. 

According to the article this year's investigations revealed some of the same lessons discussed in last year's issue as well as new areas of focus. These include remote engine shutoffs and quick-closing valves, high-water/high-current conditions and training for emergencies.
