Joel Buffa, a master underwriter at International Marine Underwriters just received his CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) designation.
Buffa took advantage of working remotely to prepare for his examinations, and completed the course (9 examinations and 4 programs) within months, when it usually takes years.
CPCU designation is earned by those who specialize in risk management and property-casualty insurance. The coursework is designed to provide professionals with in-depth knowledge of their line of work, from risk management principles to complex policy and coverage analysis.
In addition to the CPCU title, Buffa also completed three other designations in the past few months –Associate in Marine Insurance Management (AMIM), Associate in Insurance Services (AIS) and Associate in General Insurance (AINS).
We congratulate Joel for his hard work, dedication and accomplishment!
